Then he said, “You will undoubtedly quote me this proverb: ‘Physician, heal yourself’–meaning, ‘Do miracles here in your hometown like those you did in Capernaum.’
Yes, we hear this concept often and sometimes we tilt our heads to one side, drool a little and stare blankly at the thought of self love, self healing and self awareness. We look blankly for directions as to what tools we need and if we need to make an investment into our very own self-appreciation. The words, HEAL YOURSELF seem an impossibility of the very fact we are walking emotional beings. Our He-GO and She-go’s consume the majority of our thoughts with fears, anxiety and selfdoubt. We eat negativity like crack and lather our souls with the very essence of insecurity. We live in morbid obsessions and love to blame others for our own problems. We, as humans, dance around subjects rather than actually accepting our flaws.
We hide behind concepts, theories and fears and never once do we question with a full heart. We blame.
Its their fault.
Its my DNA.
Its because I was…..
Its my child hood.
Its because of my shitty marriage.
Its my shitty job.
I never had…..
We accept what we are told and tend not to think too deeply for our selves. It’s just easier to take a pill, or go to therapy or read self help books. However, as much as I am an advocate for most of the above TOOLS; I would say, nothing works until you HEAL THYSELF.
Yes, you heard me as loud as the thunder roars.
Acceptance, letting go, embracing and being SO ok with your humanness is the start to a beautiful relationship in Life. One that begins and ends with you.
At the end of the entire journey, the only person who you really need to face is yourself. You need to face and embrace all that is you. You need to really dig deep and go so far that you feel like you are drowning in your own self-pity to see the beauty of who you are. Once you arrive to the place that is acceptance, you have healed a large part of who you are. Maybe all! Only you will know that.
